Please welcome Mica, pronounced MeCa to the hermitage:
Mica is a Belgian Malinois, German Shepard mix. Mom is a Belgian Malinois bomb dog for a police department, and pop was a German Shepard that jumped the fence and had fun.
She was sold to a lady that didn’t know how to take care of a HIGH energy dog who gave her up. She was basically homeless and was to be put down if someone didn’t take her home soon.
With my like for Mals and Sheps, I decided I couldn’t let her be put down, so I adopted her!
She is full of energy, but she allows me to do my prayers and homework, but then wants the rest of my time.
My cat, Tiggr, wasn’t too happy with me bringing her home though!!

- 24I have NEVER had a dog that pees so much. She is peeing every 10 minutes, where ever she is. I have her pooing only outside, but she just ups and pees when ever it hits her, without warning. And I mean TONS of pee each time!! She drinks a…

- 12Yep, more changes in my life! I am in the first stages of moving fully into the life of a Diocesan Hermit. By that I mean, I am living the Rule of life, but must live it for six month to two years under Private Vows at which time, if…
With a Belgian and German mix I wonder what language you speak to her in. It’s sad that people don’t realise how working dog breeds need to be occupied. I hope that Tiggr is getting used to having a dog around.

English. Firm believer that a person should speak to an animal in the human’s language of use, not another. Many times I hear people trying to use commands in another language, often German, and are using sounds that are WAY off from that language (I speak German, Korean, and English, and some Japanese). I don’t use the other languages enough anymore to do them justice, and would rather my pets to know what I am saying in English applies to them…
